Well, if you're missing 3rd gear, I guess a working 3rd gear improves the
performance of your car, doesn't it? ;-)

I don't disagree with you. My point was to put an additional perspective
to the discussion. I'm not necessarily taking sides. I don't have a need
for such a gearbox. It's one reason my BB DET is remaining near stock.
I've followed the whole gearbox reliability/cost issue and the various
solutions Mike has tried to bring to market. I think there *is* a real
need for this. It's a lot of money. Yep. But putting $10 into a $10k car
doesn't exactly make a lot of sense does it? :-)
