Sentra Hybrid sees track time....

Hi all!

It was a great time at Willow Springs this weekend.
Had a chance to finally get into a real, sanctioned
road race and finally put some faces against the names
that I've seen flash in my email box for years. I was
very excited and nervous indeed and the rush is hard
to beat. Alot of the SE-R guys gave me tons of racing
advice (which WILL be used against them in the future
:)) and offered parts/help when I had mechanical
problems. A thousand thanks for all of it. However,
I owe it all to my pit crew to make it all possible.
With that I'd like to publicly say thanks to:

Pit Boss: Michelle Almazan
Crew Chief: Luis Molina
Mechanic: Walter Catalan
Co-Driver: Jonathan Meris

I didn't win a race but they put in a tremendous
amount of work into the Hybrid in less than ideal
conditions. I had these folks up by 5:30 and working
late due to mechanical problems. Then they got to sit
back and bake in the hot SoCal sun or sandblasted by
10-20 mph hot wind. And what did I do? I went on the
track to tear the car up all over again. After the
weekend was said and done, I asked them if they're
willing to do this all over again next month at
Buttonwillow and without hesitation, they said yes.

As far as I'm concerned they own this car as much as I
do and when they ask to change something on the car,
its "you're the expert, I trust you" and they go off
and implement it (sometimes I wonder why they even
ask). Lucky for me I've got some keen minds working
on my car. So watch out, the Hybrid will grow some
bigger balls and sharper teeth in the near future. :)

Bottomline, without these guys (and gal!) the subject
line would've read "Sentra Hybrid DOESN'T see track
time..."

Thanks!

John Almazan
