Well John,

your 1st order (1-2-3-4 left to right as you look at it from the front of
the car) was the correct one.

Does you r distributor have the cylinder #s on the respective cable inputs?
Mine does. If your does too and you did it OK, then tyhe problem is
somewhere else.
If not you should be asking about the correct inputs on the distributor cap.
