Intercooler Cleaning

Just thought I would throw in my 2 bits...

I used a can of "aircraft paint and finish remover" to strip the exterior of
the tank, and let me tell you that stuff was brutal. it came in a spray can
and it ate through thick gloves, but left the cooler looking 80% clean. Took
everything off.

The next step was some Aluminum mag wheel cleaner and a soft natural bristled
paint brush. Basically more acid, HCL diluted I think? It took care of the
rest of the tank and left it looking near mint.
