GTi-R SR20DET HP potential,

I'm sure this is archived info but was unable to find exactly what I was
looking for. I searched using GTi-R, DET, HP, power; in various
combinations.

What is the HP potential of the GTi-R motor? Meaning, with the stock
housing, internals, 3" exhaust, FMIC and K&N cone a-filter what should be
typical crank HP? 230? 250?
What beyond the 3" exhaust and JWT Cams would be the best-for-the-money mods
to the engine after that?
I am trying to decide between a DET and a seemingly rare turboed VVL so any
input on this decision is appreciated.
