G20 variants and VIN

Hi all,

I'm considering adding an older G20 to the stable (my wife and I are
both currently driving '93 SE-Rs, and have been for lots of years
now).  I'm still mining the archives for the plusses and minuses of
the pre-93.5 and the later G20t, but have been looking at online ads
while doing my homework.  I'm hoping someone out there with an
Infinity FSM can help me determine which variant I'm looking at by
VIN, as the ads often give the VIN but little other info about which
version they're selling.  Anybody?

P.S.  I don't want to waste list bandwidth, but if anybody wants to
help sway my decision off-list, I'd welcome the input.
