After I sent my reply I thought about it a little more (and read Kevin's
message) and on second thought I don't think it worked for me either. IIRC
(this time!) what I did was stick a pair of long, needle-nose pliers into
the plug wells and into the stuck ring. I pushed the handles open and
wiggled the rings off the plugs and lifted them out, being careful to not
relax the tension on the handle and drop them into the wells, of course! :)
Try that and let me know if it works....
