Shifter bushing ??

Did you remove the two nuts (12mm?) holding the bar to the rear engine
mounting bracket? If so, you should be able to get some play with
the bar to move it away from the engine mounting bracket so you can
replace the bushing. You will also likely need to remove the shifter
rod from the tranny control yoke to get room.
