Time to get another mechanic, especialy if he claims
to be able to set the timing by ECU after the
distributor.
You set the timing by adjusting the distributor, the
ECU controls the timing under the engines normal
operating range which is only changeable by
reprograming the ECU.
Turning the distributor just adds and subtracts total
timing from what the ECU adds.
