FW: Q Knock Sensors

What would the ECU do if the sensor were to be unpluggged and the
socket to it connected across a 1 meg ohm resistor? Will it just
"hear" no noise or panic because there is none? Will it go into a
failure mode? Oh, this pertains to early 92 ECU's.
