Actually, it is and it isn't.
As hybrids go, it's about as easy and straight-forward as they
get. But.... people who jump in without doing their homework scare
me. Nobody should even buy an engine before they have some idea what to
expect labor-wise (their's or someone they are paying) and otherwise. My
article should clue you pretty well. Dave Coleman wanted something that
would not quite hold your hand (too long), but be a reference for all the
things you would need to be concerned with and where possible give the
solution.
I personally think for the mechanically inclined, the hardest thing to deal
with is the downpipe and IC piping. It's not hard if you have a power
miter saw and a welder. Oh, and some patience.
But folks *do* need to do their homework and have a really good idea what
is involved first IMHO.
