alignment question

Last week I finished replacing the front struts (bent shaft on left strut)
and right axle (torn boot) on my '95 G20 auto. The job went smoothly and
everything was torqued to specs on the reinstall.
I now find that the car pulls hard to the left on a flat, even roadway.
While doing the work, I did not have to separate the left outer tie rod end
but on the right, I had to separate and reinstall the outer tie rod end to
get the old axle out and the new axle in. I did not turn the outer or inner
tie rod during the separation/reinstall process.
Given the work that I did, I don't understand why the alignment would be out
of adjustment. I would like to understand the problem before I have the
alignment checked at a shop.
Thanks.
