Yep.  Matthew pointed that out to me privately.  Thanks for the info.  I
had never heard it referred to as that before.

No.  The ECU gets its signal from the other sensor.  If *that* one were
disconnected, or was having problems, *then* the ECU would call for a rich
mixture.
