Valvoline 80w-90 GL5 Transmission Oil

One question about this oil, yesterday i was changing the driver side axel
boot of my car and almost 2 quarts of oil came out. So I decided to just
change the oil since it was still the original oil from the factory (car now
has 145k). I had a friend bring me the oil but i didn't notice until today
that the oil is GL5. I know we're supposed to run GL4 on our gear boxes. My
question is, what could happen to the tranny? TIA
