DIY motor mount bracket?

I have access to a propane torch, a vice, and a hammer.  That's as close as I've got to a sheet metal brake.  :)

I planned to hit Home Depot to see what they might have that looked close to what I needed, I was thinking of a zinc mending plate or something similar.
