Washer fluid pump

I wrote a few replies this afternoon, but they haven't appeared. Hope I
don't repeat myself.

I can't offer an answer to your question, but given where you live, there's
a decent chance that the electrical connector and wires for the pump may be
corroded, especially if you are missing the splash shield that protects it.
