Yeah, it was back in the old days (1997-ish??) before we all knew
better.  Jay Stewart & I were some of the first "victims".  Actually, it
wasn't the pressure plate, but the disk.  The springs in the hub had way
too much travel, and allowed it to spin around far enough relative to the
outer hub to slam into the spacers holding the two halves apart, and shear
them off.  Assholes!  I see them getting positive press in magazines today,
and it still make me wann'a puke!
