No doubt. But you can practice practice practice and still be doing
it incorrectly, or at least be approaching the task from the wrong
angle. I'm at exactly the knowledge level where I'll mostly destroy
things instead of creating, if simply let loose with a welder.
The only JuCo that has a welding class is across the state line, which
triples tuition. A friend's wife just went through the program, which
cost him about $500 (as an in-state student, unlike me), but was worth
every penny to him. If I didn't spend 60+ hours per week on the clock
(and another 8 just driving to and from work) just to pay my current
bills, it'd definitely be my next step.
For now, my only resource is reading. Thanks for the input, though.
