Clutch TOB questions

The throw-out bearing is a roller or tapered bearing set. The inner race contacts the clutch arms while the outer race is "fixed" to the clutch release lever. A bearing on its way out will rattle
with the clutch engaged (pedal up) or squeal when clutch is disengaged (pedal down).

Your symptoms indicate something else, like maybe loose or broken clutch or pressure plate parts.
