alternator rebuild question

My G has a bad alternator - tester (Murray's) indicates bad diodes. Can I
just replace these (cheap), or am I better off rebuilding the whole thing?
If I can do it for under $100 (a rebuild is running about $160) I'll do
that myself, otherwise I'll use the spare I have and get another one from
JGY or something. If I can just replace the diodes, does anyone know the
part numbers? I don't have that info in my saved messages, nor does it seem
to be in the archives.
