Subject: Normal Oil Pressure?

So, it seems high to me, but is it?  Where is the pressure blowoff supposed
to kick in?  It seems like somewhere around 65 - 70 psi on my particular
motor, but is that normal?  I've heard the 10 psi for each 1000 RPM rule of
thumb, but this seems a bit out of whack...

Those figures seem high to me also. I've got an Autometer electric oil
pressure gauge installed on my sr20de using NISsport's adapter. I also use
Nissan's oil filter, but use Mobil 1 5W-30 on the stock USDM motor. The
readings I receive are consistant with the 10 psi per 1000 rpm rule.

Do JDM motors have an different oil pump?
