Engine Block Drain Plug

Okay, I've just heard from another source that the 14mm nut that I removed
from a bolt in the same general area is the correct drain plug.

How can this be? It's a nut on a bolt and when I removed the nut, nothing
drained out. It's actually below where the top radiator hose attaches and
just to the left of where you check the oil level.

I need to get me some flood lights so I can work on the car at night... hate
leaving things undone.
