EGR Cleaning

Hi, Frank. Wheels are looking good and I'm glad I listened to your advice
about getting the 195 tires rather than the 205's. With that +35 offset, the
195's look plenty aggressive.
I have a few ideas about covering those axle ends, just haven't made the
time to come up with some designs. As a simple out, I was thinking about
something that would resemble the back wheel gold hubs... don't know if I
want to cover or highlight the tuner bolts.
I don't know how expensive it would be to replace the whole EGR tubing, the
big and the little tubes are connected and no way to separate them. It's the
little one that runs to the BPT that gets blocked by carbon build up... you
can't just take that one off. At any rate, in order to replace it with a
whole new system, you'd still have to get the old one off... huge PITA.
I'm currently on AIM discussing the problem with one of my local car club
friends. I'm an exengineer and he's in engineering school... hopefully,
between the 2 of us, will find a simpler solution.
If you want to try cleaning yours, I'll send you a write up and some links
from the list and a couple of different forums/web sites. It's pretty easy,
mine just happens to be completely blocked and the access makes it even more
difficult to deal with the problem.
Later,
Mark
