Roll Bar install help

Just a note regarding sandwiching carpet between the roll bar and the floor.
Generally a bad idea: 1. Makes a "slip joint" out of the bar to floor,
defeating the stiffening effect of the bar. 2. Ruins the carpet under the
bar due to compression for long periods of time. (i.e.: it will not be easy
to hide if the bar is ever removed. It is easier to cut a little flap and
hide the edges if you later remove the bar.) 3. Most sanctioning
organizations specify nothing between the body of the car and the roll bar
mounting.
