Knock Sensor

I keep tripping this bloddy sensor.  FSM only says that it should
be 10M ohms thats it.

I checked voltage and one time it went over 3V but then never
did again.  But obviously its still doing it because I keep
gettting 34 when I check the ECU.

A new sensor is $123!  It seems that if the car is cold it trips
the code more.  I reset it and drove about 5 miles and
it didn't trip it with the engine hot.

Any ideas on what could be tripping it or ways of
just getting rid of it?  This is on the 349,749 mile car.
