Odometer/tripometer problems

Hey guys I have a problem on my 96 200sx se-r and was wondering if it is
perhaps common among other owners. Recently, my odometer and trip have
stopped working. So I took off the instrument cluster, jiggled some wires
around, and put it back on. YES!! It works now! Or so I thought. Later,
the same thing happened again, so I took the cluster off again and
jiggled some more wires, and now it works. I have a feeling this will
keep happening. Whats the problem?? --- Beau F.---
