Good Catch! I test drove it on Wed. this week. It seems to have a nice
rust-free body. And a very clean engine compartment. Interir is clean,
except for stereo hacks. But I did notice an ~awful~ lot of problems with
it. And think you're correct on the front end crunch.

Namely:
Mods and hacks [some of you might consider these "features" :) ]:
Ignition switch relocated to dash next to cruise/dash dimmer switches
Sentra badge removed, peeling yellow paint on "SE-R" badge.
         Gauge faces replaced.
Aftermarket shift knob loose on shaft.
Air filter box hacked up (lower part removed, flipped 90d with
filter facing frontward)
Interior hacked up for stereo (10 or 12" sub' cut into rear drvr
side seat panel), tweeters
           on door panels.
Emissions stuff (egr, aiv, evap) & oil separator removed or modified.
Peeling blue paint on calipers, springs, etc.
Heat shield missing from Exhaust manifold and down pipes.
         Battery relocated in trunk.
Engine compartment lower splash shields cut up.

Other Problems:
Engine low on power, esp at higher rpm.
Tranny leaking oil at shift rod.
Stock muffler rotting off (sheet metal on lower 1/2 of can
completely gone).
Driver side window lower seal torn up
         Water in trunk
         Headliner in poor condition
         E-Brake doesn't work
Brakes make metal on metal noise and don't stop very well. (could
have "race" pads)
Driver's side rear marker lamp secured with oversized flat-head
wood screws.
Numerous sheet metal dings, peeling paint & clear coat. Drvr's
side 1/4 peeling, might be repainted.
         Rear spoiler falling off.
         Pin stripes.

Apparently in front end wreck:
Front bumper skin replaced with unpainted grey piece, a'la the
Sentra "E"
model. It ~almost~ blends in with the faded grey body paint.
         Fog lights missing
Hood replaced with aftermarket part (though paint and fit are decent)
         Fender(s) might also be aftermarket.

The low power is particularly concerning. Maybe the timing is just way
off. Or maybe the engine is fried. I'd want to check the compression
before buying. Also, the engine hacks and battery in trunk make me wonder
if it used to have a turbo, or maybe just an aborted turbo install.

I'm being highly critical here... but when the guy is asking $4k, I expect
mint condition.
