Aren't the QR rods "REALLY" thin in cross section?  I thought I read this
somewhere... maybe here.  If this is so, why would they do that?  Save
wieght at the cost of strength? Hmmm, that just seems to go against the
typical Nissan School of design which is usually building bullet proof
engines... IMHO.

As far as being weak, Dave Coleman has reported that after all of is
rallying with the engine it is still together and running strong.

Tommy- friend of mine the engine had oil just that the rod didn't like its
spot on the # crank journal and
decided to take a walk on the outside of the block.
