Actually, Ian, the RTV is still pliable... after 6 months in Florida...
imagine that. I used the marine blue RTV. I don't know what any other
RTV(black, grey...) will do over time. It fixed my leak quited well...
hasn't reappeared.

I used 2 beads because I only snipped a little from the applicator... gives
you more control to use a smaller bead. If you want to use one huge bead, be
my guess, but it will get messy.

Obviously there is a faster way to do anything. Mine was slow, methodical,
clean... and it's still looking good and working.
