You can use a pair of needle nose pliers. Just open them up, place the ends
of the needle noses perpendicular to the face of the piston, and adjacent to
the offset sections, push and wist. This works OK for me. Remember, you only
need to use this technique for the rear calilpers, a C-clamp works fine for
the fronts.
