For the engine, try one of these, or the list can chime in...

SOKO - http://www.soko.com/

K.Wantanbe - 1-800-592-8262 (not too far from you)

1. First and MOST Important. A Factory Sercive Manual (FSM) $100.

2. A GOOD Assortment of Tools; Sockets, Breaker Bar, Air Tools Help,
Torque Wrench (I prefer the kind you dial in on the handle) good
lights, and a drain pan. You will be shocked by the way rediator fluid
pours out and how fast. (I got soaked for not doing it properly). Lots
of shop wrags and a few band-aids. :)

3. A Good Jack and Stands, If you are doing this in the garage, get the
bottom of your radiator 29 Inches off the ground with your bumper cover
off... You can drop the motor out the bottom and slide it out.

The rest of any information depends on the motor that you get, we could
get into that at another time. Quick example; With DET's, it's not a
bad idea to replace the bearings, because the SR20's like to spin them.
I just finished a job on mine. I can give you a price breakdown on
what about all that cost me doing it myself.

New Piston Wrings, Wrist Pins, Rod Bearings, Main Bearings, Block
rehoned, Crank Turned, everything resized etc.. etc.. $300 at the
maching shop. I tore down the motor and delivered it, also put it back
together.

That's about it... aside from a lot of patients... Study ahead in the
FSM. Please feel free to call me any time. 407-402-4536 (Cellular).

Mike Jez, and Mike Kojima are also good sources of info, in the several
years I have been on the list, they are walking talking FSM's.
