On my XE I had 6 1/2 Pioneers (model # TS-A1661) in the rear.  They make a 6
3/4 speaker (model # TS-A1767) but for $40 more.  Like you, I wasn't looking
for a "boom-boom-boom system" and was very satisfied with my set-up.

1993 Sentra SE-R w/ Pioneer CD head unit and stock speakers (for now)
1992 Sentra XE (sold) had Pioneer tape head unit and rear speakers, 250 watt
amp, and 2 Pyle 8" subwoofers (nobody believed they were 8's!)

What size have people used for the back also. Not looking for a
boom-boom-boom system, just would like to know what size speakers fit, or
what size should I upgrade to. Thanks,
