Yes, but only advancing timing within stock specifications (15* +/- 2* =
17*) and the stock specs for the gasoline require only 87 octane.
Of course, this assumes that everything else in the engine is running
correctly: no vacuum leaks, good O2 sensor, good ground on MAF, etc.
When you get to this point, maybe 89 octane would be good for a little
insurance, but the 91-93 rated stuff would be a waste of money.
