Rust on caliper

Actually, I cannot remember the details, but IIRC it will actually make
them stronger.  About 20 years ago, Roger Rager (sp?) built a race engine
for Indy out of a rusted school bus block (when stock blocks were still
allowed) and it was mentioned at the time that the rusted block was
actually stronger than a new one.  I've heard this explained before, but
cannot remember the details.
