Specific Exhaust System Questions

Okay, so the last question was too broad. Sorry. On a naturally-
aspirated, bolt-on B15 w/SR20DE, is it practical to use:

 - VRS 2.25" mandrel-bent piping kit (VRSExhaust.com)
 - Thrush 24203 (22*3.5" body, 2.25" I/O, 2" perforated core)
 - Dynomax Ultra Flo 17273 (23*11*5.5" body, 3" inlet, dual 2.5" outlet)

If that muffler is totally brain-dead, the 17243 is also attractive, has
a 2.25" inlet, but only has a 14" long body, as opposed to 23", which
seems to me would limit it's noise control ability.

Except for the turbulence at the abrupt steps inside the glasspack core,
why would this *not* be a good system? Is using a 3" core muffler on a
2.25" pipe system futile for sound control? Do you know how Dynomax
splits the inlet on an Ultra Flo into two outlets? :)
