Hard starting

When I had my '91 I had this same problem. If you check the archives, I
never did find a solution. I replaced the rotor, cap, wires, plugs (twice),
checked the cat. and all of the other emissions hardware, cleaned the TB,
reground the MAF and even danced the Hopi dance of mechanical magic; all to
no avail.
The only thing that I can think of, in retrospect, is that I had an oily
spark plug problem which I later learned is usually a bad injector. I'm not
sure if that would cause the hard start problem or not. If that would cause
the fuel system to not hold pressure/vacuum perhaps the fuel pump is having
to repressurize the lines before it'll start.
I got so frustrated that I even took it to a *cough, cough* professional.
The stealership handed me a few bottles of injector cleaner.
I was running pretty much stock with only a K&N drop in and a 2 1/4"
Ultra-flo exhaust.
Good Luck
