As long as you replace the whole set, you are good. (All of the 5th gear
components.)

I get people all the time emailing me for tranny rebuild advice that
don't have a FSM. Don't bother. No FSM, no tranny rebuild. You have to
have the right tools, and that is the # 1 tool for the job.
