Brake shims

Dave,
You probably won't find those shims at an auto parts
store.  Nissan will charge you something like $40 a
set.  Don't waste your money; CRC makes a product
called Brake Quiet (there are several other brands out
there) that can do the job the shims do.  It is
similar to liquid gasket maker but it resists high
temperatures.  You spread it on the back of the pads,
let it dry, and then install them.
Easy.

doing the front brakes.  Shouldn't there be shims?  I
called a couple auto
part stores and they have no listing for them.  Should
they? Do I have to
get them from Nissan?
