Irony

My ABS warning starting coming on constantly last week. I thought I might of
introduced some air into the brake lines when I topped off the fluid.

So, pulling out my FSM, I decided to run the check code for the control box
for the ABS. Pretty simple procedure.... run the car above 19 mph for at
least 1 minute, stop the car, leave engine running, then count the number of
flashes on the control box. Piece of cake.

I counted 16 flashes, went and looked what it meant under the self diagnosis
list. Waited one more day, ran the test again... 16 flashes.

I find it ironic that I'm trying to use a control unit, that will self
diagnose a brake problem, that turns out to be a bad control unit. That's
right, the 16 flashes mean the control unit is bad... hahaha, good one, God.

I guess now I'll have to find a control unit to see if the only problem is
my control unit. I just think it's funny that the bad control unit is
diagnosing itself as a bad control unit. If it's bad and not working right,
how would it know?

That's one definition of irony.
