Because it is not the same thing. My Snap On impact has an adjustable
muffler on it. Craftsman do not.

My 3/8" Snap On ratchet does 60 ft/lbs of torque, Craftsman/Husky does
35. (I own both.)

There are differences.

That is easily solved. Who says the compressor has to go in the garage?
I moved mine into my half basement/crawl space and it was one of the
best moves I ever did. Much more quiet. More room in the garage for
garage stuff, too.
