If you want to run piggy air tools like air sanders and die grinders
continuously, you need a compressor with at least 5hp and it will run on 240
AC. It has to be something that will supply 10CFM @ 90 psi. If you are just
running nailers, air chisels and the occasional air wrench you can probably
get away with half that or less. A small compressor will run piggy tools,
but you will be working for 1 minute and waiting for 2 while it catches up.
Maybe I'm just old school, but I hate oil-free compressors. It aint a
compressor if it don't have oil.... it's a toy.

FWIW, I have had good luck with dirt cheap Chinese air tools. The only
exception there is air wrenches... must have IR! 900 ft-lb loosen and 600
tighten. I don't care what you are on or how rusty it is, *something* is
coming undone. Say goodbye mr. rusty suspension bolt.
