First off, thank you to everyone who responded. This list is a great help and
resource as always.

This morning I called Greg Vogel at Mossy Nissan in oceanside and he gave me a
great price on an updated stock fuel pump. Mossy Nissan was an hour and a half
from where I am staying in L.A. but it was worth the trip. Greg through in a
few freebies and we chit-chatted about our SE-R's for about half an hour, great
guy. I highly recomend them and they do have good prices.

When I got back from the dealer I put in the new pump and the part numbers on
the old one were indeed different but interestingly enough it was still a stock
nissan pump. I will have to go through the previous owner's paperwork and see
what exactly they did to the pump because it seems they put in another factory
defective one.

At any rate the car runs great now. I dared to run the car down to 1/8th tank
of gas, but stopped at a gas station this time. Started right back up. Phew.
Crisis averted, the trip home should be nothing but scenic.

Tomorrow I'll go find some more of LA's famous driving roads... there are so
many I dont know where to start!

Thanks again everyone!
