MAybe you was try to take them off but was actually making them tight. I caugh myself sometime turning some bolts the wrong when I thought it was the right way---especially when the bolt is not facing you. Now you either have to get a bolt extractor or drill it out and put a larger diameter bolt after tapping the hole---I dunno just a suggestion----Good Luck
