enclosed K&N, gain of 3 HP

For you HP gurus,

	I was reading some comparisons of headers, and exhaust on the net,
and I came across this test done, not on SE-R's, but it was interesting to
note that this guy says this!

  "Lastly, I removed my homemade airbox and ran with just the open K&N
filter. I was observing the K&N data in real time. No surprise - I lost 3 HP
with it exposed. You need to enclose your K&N filters"

Now this was during a dyno test and he removed it during the dyno I

so if you enclose your K&N you can gain 3HP so this site says, I would
assume this means any vehicle with a K&N. Is this true, If so I could use
another 3 HP :)
