first impressions

Well, ran my first event in my '92 SE-R, bone stock suspension, POS Sears
Lemans HR rated tires.
I ran GS, a CRX on r-compound, and '02 A4 1.8t (with 5pt harness and Eibach
springs yeah, BS I know) were my competition. First run, blew the turn into
the carousel and DNF'd. second run, 75.5, third run 74.05 and last run,
72.4. very happy with those.. took 2lbs out of the rear before the last
run...
Okay, how I felt about car... (my last SoloII car was an Impreza 2.5RS).
except for the tires car handled awesome! The launches were great...dropped
in around 3k-35k trying not to chirp the tires... blowing to rev limiter in
1st and then hard shifting... car loved the fast sweepers and a little bit
of throttle and brake taps corrected the car very well... I did notice that
under hard braking the car wanted to oversteer a tad, soon got used to that
and used it to my advantage on my last run... good car for early braking (no
fade!) and plenty of power to pull out of the double 180s before the
finish... with some decent tires and replacing the worn front motor mount
this car should be FUN!!

Has anyone built a fully prepped STS classic SE-R?

I don't want to buy race rubber so I will move to STS eventually..
