Getting on the serious side folks, Thankx for all the info, .....Nipple
clamps waaaay too painful to consider =D

Has anyone ever had any problems with a pump acting intermittently? I'd
pulled it outta the tank, gave it a
'dry' run, then proceeded to check all the electrics out further up the
wiring loom. While the pump checked out
ok, (also replaced the relay just to be sure), it's decided to die again.
Unfortunately over here in Oz, Nissan want
aus $456.00 for a new pump. Bollocks to that for sure!

So, questions are: Is it fix or replace?, is there a 'cheaper' alternative
to replace?

Also if I can squeeze one further ques in, (George?) I realise that the fuel
pump "primes' the engine etc... on startup,
what role does it play after that.

Thanks once again to all

Rob
