I did my S3 install a week ago, and I hope I did not skip a lower tooth.
Now that you mention it, I do remember someone (Rob Cadle?) using a couple of
bungee cords to put tension on the sprockets.

I don't think I skipped a tooth, as my power seems fine, and my idle is great
except when the engine is cold.

I'm going to replace my alternator now....
