Odometer Failure

Hey Cade,
That was probably my post you found in the archives. I've talked to a
couple other owners of 96 SE-R's who have had this same problem.
It seems the odometer is driven by some small electrical motor behind
the gauge. I think this has crapped out on ours :( Looks like the only fix
is to replace the speedometer/odometer gauge and electronics. This is
really easy, but I'm not sure if we can just purchase this alone, or if we
must purchase the whole gauge cluster (I bought the whole cluster from
Autogator once for $60 shipped).
I have an extra gauge cluster in my garage, which I ruined when trying
to install my white face gauges. The needles are really laggy so I never
used it. I'm going to try removing the motor from that odometer and
replacing it with the one now in my car. I'll let you know if this works.
It may be awhile though.
