Ben is the Moderator, Matt Hunt hosts the site on one of his servers.
Unfortunately the popularity of the forum is creating a high load on the
server, and that is impacting his paying customers.

A week or so ago Matt disabled some of the functions of the forum (archive
search, new post search, and email alerts) in an attempt to lighten the
load. Apparently that didn't quite do the trick, and he took the site down.

A number of forum users (including me) pledged to contribute to a fund to be
used to move the forum to a dedicated server. Yesterday, Matt sent the
following message to those people;

"Thanks for supporting the forum! Whatever you can send is greatly
appreciated! You can PayPal money to paypal@ecin.net, or mail it to:

The forums will be offline Thursday night (the 4th) until I am able to
get it to the new server in the next 24-48 hours.

I've spent allot of time on the forum over the last year and a half, and
it's become a regular stomping ground of mine. We've got a hell of a good
community there, and I for one hope enough people feel the same and will
make a contribution.
