Just for future information, I used a golf ball for this.  Fit great.  My
neighbor was practicing his putt in the commons area of our old apartments
when I did the removal.  I looked at the hole; looked at the golf ball, and
then asked if he had an extra.  He gave me one, and the look on his face was
priceless when I proceeded to stick it under the hood of my car!
